About this story
女娲补天最早见于西汉《淮南子·览冥训》：远古时天塌地裂、水火不息，女娲“炼五色石以补苍天，断鳌足以立四极”，又积芦灰止住洪水。共工怒触不周山、“天倾西北，地不满东南”的故事见于《淮南子·天文训》，唐代司马贞《补史记·三皇本纪》把共工与祝融之战、天柱折断和女娲补天连成了一个故事。这一版沿用这种连起来的讲法，并让神鳌主动献出四足、共工最后认错。

Tips for telling it
