共工怒触不周山
水神共工和颛顼争当天下的首领，输了以后怒火冲天，一头撞向撑天的不周山。天柱断了，天往西北歪，地向东南陷——从此太阳往西落，江河向东流。

共工怒触不周山出自西汉《淮南子·天文训》：从前共工和颛顼争当天帝，共工发怒撞向不周山，“天柱折，地维绝”，于是天向西北倾斜，日月星辰都朝那边移去；地的东南角塌陷，江河的水和尘土都流向东南。《列子·汤问》也有几乎相同的记载。古书只说共工“怒而触”山，这一版补出了两人比试、共工落败的过程，并让不周山和山脚下的小溪开口说话。
What it teaches
共工一时发怒，撞断了撑天的柱子，造成了再也无法挽回的后果。故事告诉孩子：输了也要冷静，生气的时候不能乱发脾气、破坏东西。它也是古人对“太阳为什么西落、江河为什么东流”的浪漫解释。

- 撞山的段落可以加重语气，“咔嚓”一声之后停一停，再往下讲。
- 讲完可以拿出中国地图，让孩子看看长江、黄河是不是都往东流。
