About this story
《农夫与蛇》出自古希腊的《伊索寓言》(The Farmer and the Viper),讲农夫在冬天救了一条冻僵的蛇,蛇暖过来却反咬了他一口。伊索原作里,农夫被咬后中毒死去,临死前后悔自己怜悯了恶毒的东西。这一版加入了农夫的小女儿和村里的老郎中,让农夫中毒病倒、最后被救了回来,道理不变,更适合小朋友听。

Tips for telling it
- 蛇醒过来那几句放慢、压低,咬人前停顿一下,孩子会屏住呼吸;讲到老郎中赶来时再把语气放暖。
- 借这个故事提醒孩子:在野外看见蛇,不管它动不动都不要碰,要走远并告诉大人;真被蛇咬了要马上去医院。
- 别把道理讲成“不要帮助别人”,重点是“善良也要有判断”。可以问孩子:小女儿提醒爹的时候,她说得对吗?
