About this story
“拔苗助长”原作“揠苗助长”,出自《孟子·公孙丑上》。孟子讲宋国有个农夫嫌禾苗长得慢,就一棵棵往上拔,回家还夸自己“帮苗长高了”,儿子跑去一看,苗全枯了。这一版让禾苗也开口喊疼,再加一位种了一辈子地的老农,把孟子的道理讲给孩子听。

万事万物都有自己生长的规律,急于求成、硬去拔高,只会适得其反。耐心浇水、除草,比一夜之间的“帮忙”更有用。

- 讲农夫拔苗时越讲越快、越讲越得意,讲到儿子跑去田里时突然停下。
- 可以和孩子一起种一盆豆芽,每天看一看,亲眼体会“长大”需要时间。
