关于这个故事
The Tale of Peter Rabbit is a picture book by the English author and illustrator Beatrix Potter. It began as an illustrated letter she sent to a sick little boy, Noel Moore, in 1893; she printed it privately in 1901, and Frederick Warne & Co. published it in 1902. This version follows Potter's story scene by scene, from the gooseberry net to the camomile tea, and gives Peter's sisters, the sparrows and the mouse a few words of their own.

讲给孩子听的小贴士
- Make Mr. McGregor's Stop, thief! loud, then whisper Peter's lines so the chase feels like hide-and-seek.
- Count what Peter loses on his fingers: two shoes and one blue jacket with brass buttons.
- Afterwards, ask why the sisters got blackberries and Peter got camomile tea.
常见问题
- What is the moral of Peter Rabbit?
- Disobedience has consequences. Peter ignores his mother's warning, is nearly caught, loses his new clothes and ends the day feeling ill, while his well-behaved sisters have a lovely supper.
- What happened to Peter Rabbit's father?
- Mrs. Rabbit tells her children that their father had an accident in Mr. McGregor's garden and was put in a pie by Mrs. McGregor. This bedtime retelling keeps only the word accident, so it stays gentle.
