このストーリーについて
Snow White is a German fairy tale published by the Brothers Grimm in their Children's and Household Tales in 1812. This bedtime version keeps the Grimms' mirror, the seven dwarfs, the queen's three visits and the glass case, and, as in the Grimms, Snow White wakes when the apple is jolted loose, not with a kiss. The harsher parts are softened: the apple sends her into an enchanted sleep, and instead of the Grimms' punishment at the wedding, the queen simply storms off and is never seen again.

よくある質問
- Who wrote Snow White?
- Snow White is a German folk tale. The Brothers Grimm, Jacob and Wilhelm, published it in 1812 in their Children's and Household Tales and revised it in later editions.
- Why is Snow White called Snow White?
- Her mother, sewing at an ebony window in winter, wished for a child as white as snow, as red as blood and as black as the window frame. The baby was born with snow-white skin, red cheeks and black hair.
- How does Snow White wake up in the original story?
- Not with a kiss. In the Grimms' version the prince's servants stumble while carrying her glass coffin, and the jolt shakes the piece of poisoned apple loose, so she wakes up.
