I Kissed My Brother's Captain on the Kiss Cam

关于这个故事

I Kissed My Brother's Captain on the Kiss Cam is a VoiceSmiths original hockey-romance episode, written in 2026 for audio. A dental hygienist with one rule, never date a hockey player, gets caught on the arena kiss cam with her brother's team captain and leaves the building in a fake relationship with him. The team, the Ironbridge Stormbirds, and everyone in it are invented. In one scene it runs the genre's opening loop: meet-cute banter, a public moment, a fake-dating deal, a secret and a family reveal on the last line.

写这个题材的小贴士

• Let the arena do the setting. A crowd chant, a hype host and a goal tell the listener where they are faster than any description, and none of it needs sound effects.
• Give the hero the shortest lines in the scene. A captain who answers a rant with "I'll pass that along" sounds sure of himself; audio banter works best when one side runs long and the other stays dry.
• Explain only the hockey the romance needs. One clear moment, like the goalie letting in a goal because he's watching the kiss cam, does more than a rules lesson for listeners who have never seen a game.

常见问题

What is a hockey romance?

A sports-romance subgenre in which the love interest, and sometimes the heroine, plays ice hockey at the college or pro level. The stories lean on team banter, locker-room found family and tropes like fake dating, the teammate's sister, the coach's daughter and grumpy/sunshine.

Do I need to know hockey to enjoy a hockey romance?

No. Most hockey romances are written for readers who don't follow the sport; the games are backdrop and the relationship drives the plot. This episode uses one kiss cam, one goal and one tunnel argument, and it explains nothing else.

Is there a part two of I Kissed My Brother's Captain on the Kiss Cam?

Not yet. It's a standalone VoiceSmiths sample episode written to show the genre's beats, so it deliberately stops on the cliffhanger. It's PG-13: one kiss on the cheek, no sexual content and no swearing.
