An anime girl voice generator reads your lines as an anime heroine: a tsundere who denies everything, a shy kouhai, a genki girl who can't sit still. On VoiceSmiths you type the line in Japanese or English, pick a girl voice and download an MP3 with timed subtitles. Hear the finished lines first.
Tsundere, in Japanese ("I-it's not like I made this for you! ...Well, maybe a little."):
Shy, with a [whispers] tag ("Um... senpai. Can I walk home with you today?"):
[whispers] あの……先輩。今日、一緒に帰ってもいいですか?Genki, in English, the same voice with an [excited] tag:
[excited] Senpai, you came! I saved you the best seat. Right next to me, of course! The bubbly American girl from an English dub, Sweet Girl with a [laughing] tag:
[laughing] No way, you ate the whole cake? Okay, okay, I'm not mad. Just... share next time! The first three lines are the Anime Girl voice; the last is Sweet Girl.

Anime girl voices and the archetypes they play
| Archetype | Voice | Designed in | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Genki heroine, tsundere, kouhai | Anime Girl | Japanese | Japanese lines, VTuber clips, visual novels |
| Bubbly girl next door (English dub feel) | Sweet Girl | American English | English heroines, slice-of-life, game companions |
| Kawaii little sister | Playful Girl | Mandarin | Mascots, sidekicks, giggly lines |
| Soft, healing onee-san | Gentle Healer | Mandarin | Gentle lines, bedtime scenes, ASMR |
| Cold ojou-sama or villainess | Ice Queen | Mandarin | Rivals, student-council queens, villain arcs |
Voices designed in Mandarin can read Japanese or English on Eleven v4 but keep their Mandarin accent; for natural Japanese, use Anime Girl. More anime-style voices, the shonen hero and the trickster included, are on the anime voice generator page and in cute voices.
What people make with an anime girl voice
- VTuber and stream clips: greetings, reactions, channel intros.
- Visual novels and indie games: heroine lines, menu voices, companion barks.
- Anime-style shorts and fan animations: original characters with their own voice.
- Language-learning content: Japanese lines read naturally, with subtitles timed to each character.
How to write lines that sound like anime
- Write the archetype into the text. A tsundere stutters ("B-baka!"), a kouhai trails off ("Um..."), a genki girl uses exclamation marks.
- Tag the mood shift:
[whispers]for the shy confession,[excited]for the entrance,[laughing]when she can't keep a straight face. - Keep lines short. Anime delivery lives on quick lines with pauses between them; generate a scene line by line or as a multi-speaker dialogue.
Make anime girl lines in the workbench
- Open the voice workbench with the Anime Girl voice and Eleven v4 selected, or start from Sweet Girl for English.
- Type or paste the lines, up to 5,000 characters at a time, with tags where the mood changes.
- Generate and download the MP3 and SRT subtitles. For a girl voice nobody else has, describe her in a sentence with prompt to voice.
Pricing
- On this page: every sample is free to hear.
- In the workbench: 7 credits per 100 characters, so a short line costs about 7 credits. The trial pack is $3.90 at the new-user price (first hour after sign-up; list $9.90) and has 500 credits (one-time, no subscription, credits never expire), about 7,100 characters. See pricing.
FAQ
Is this anime girl voice generator free? Listening is free: every sample on this page plays for anyone, no account needed. Generating your own lines happens in the VoiceSmiths workbench at 7 credits per 100 characters, so a short line costs about 7 credits; the trial pack ($3.90 for new users in the first hour after sign-up, list $9.90; 500 credits, about 7,100 characters; one-time, never expires) is the usual way to start (to try only a few lines, a first order can be the $1.99 taster pack: 100 credits, about 1,400 characters).
Can it sound like a specific anime character or voice actress? No. Our girl voices were designed from text descriptions (a genki Japanese heroine, a bubbly American girl, a playful kawaii girl), not cloned from a seiyuu or copied from a show, and our terms forbid imitating a real performer. You can design a new voice of the same type with prompt to voice.
Does the anime girl voice speak Japanese? Yes. The Anime Girl voice was designed as a Japanese voice, so Japanese is where she sounds most natural; the first two samples on this page are Japanese. She also reads English, as the third sample shows. Sweet Girl was designed in American English and Playful Girl in Mandarin.
How do I make her tsundere, shy or excited? Write the line the way the character would say it (a stutter like "B-baka!", trailing "…" for shyness) and add an audio tag where the mood changes: [whispers], [excited], [laughing]. Eleven v4 performs tags instead of reading them aloud.
Can I use it for a VTuber, a game or a YouTube channel? Yes. Audio you generate can be used commercially under our terms of service. What you may not do is pass it off as a real voice actor or use it to impersonate a real person.
Can I turn my own voice into an anime girl voice? This page is text to speech. To keep your own acting and swap only the voice, record the line and use the voice changer in Audio Tools with the Anime Girl voice as the target.
